...or they figure we're used to it.
I assume it's something like that...

However, it seems that we now (~0900 Friday) warrant a "Be Prepared".

Pressure dropping here at -7mb/3hr, and looking around it seems other peeps are recording similar drops. Currently 999.9mb here in the Fort, max gust so far 38mph in my rather sheltered position.

Hi Cookie, long time on see.  Grin
What are youu getting down the road?

I'm currently getting 60 knot gusts (69.1mph) and a 50 knot average (49mph), the Davis has "HIGH WIND WARNING" across the bottom of the screen and the pressure is falling at -4.2mb per hour, which is nice.

Currently 40 mph average here (Orkney), gusting to 45 mph, so nothing out the ordinary just yet. Pressure dropping at 4 mb/hr...

And just to be annoying my anemometer has moved on the pole and is not showing the correct wind direction, wind speed is fine but not the direction and I certainly aint going out to fix it tonight!! (I think a succession of gales this winter has loosened it and its moved).

Last big blow my WMR928 anemometer not only packed in (warranty replacement job), in its faulty state it also caused intermittent interference with the signal from the WMR200 anemometer and all the other sensors!   Sad
It took me ages to work out what was going on. I thought it was lightning damage of some sort.

We've had over 50mph here now, since when the direction seems to have shifted a little W, which starts to introduce some shelter, so it has eased back to 40 gusting to 45.

The pressure has bottomed out at 983mb and is now rising.
As the pressure got to it's lowest the temp rose 6° in 1.5 hours and the wind dropped to around 38 knots.
Now the temp is dropping again and we're back to 57 knot gusts.

Bob, I had that problem with my WS2300 anemometer, it was secured with the tie-wrap, change to the U-bolt and it remained in place from then on.
